Now that we've got the new site up and running, it's time to announcing the winners of the 'Send the cast a message' contest! Let me start by saying that we loved reading your messages. To everyone who entered the contest: Thank you for making us smile!
Below are the winning entries and runners-up, followed by a reply to the message.
Winning entryThis entry makes so much sense. I can very well imagine Cimos writing to an advice column for help with his parenting troubles (plentiful as they must have been). And he receives such useful (beautiful) advice!
The four runners up
"To Neva Agenar
Miss Agenar,
sometimes I feel like I am on the opposite end of the world from my mother, even though I know she has always only done what she thought was best for me. We have fought like beasts in the past, saying things that both sides know are not true just to cause the other grief, but it still pales in comparison to how lucky I feel to have known such a strong and amazing woman. Now that I am older, and she is stricken with multiple illnesses, I look back on the times we fought and realize how silly they were- how silly they can be -and how short time really is. Time spent with family is never wasted, Neva. Not even when it is filled with disagreements or fruitless arguments. I say this to you because I want you to believe in the bond between mother and daughter- between you and Morwenna. Even though you've remained from her life all this time, I don't believe it's too late to try and make amends. You still have plenty of time to mend your relationship if you act now, and I want you to know that even if she becomes confused, frustrated, or fed up with your reasoning for being gone all this time, that you are still her mother. I'm sure she'll come to love you in the end, just as much as I love mine.
Hold your dear ones close. Use time as a reason to move forward, and not an excuse to stay behind.
Sincerely wishing you the best, now and in the future,
Liv."

Thank you for your moving words. The thought of facing my daughter fills me with fear, but you give me hope that one day she might know and perhaps love me.
I whish you and your mother the best of luck, and much strength during her battle against her illness!
-Neva
New plan. I will reunite my people and restore them to former glory, whilst enjoying a Royal sandwich!

"Astral plane of Basion.
To Alarina, self-proclaimed Goddess of Purity and etc, etc.
From goddess to goddess ... need help with some little problem. I have exterminated an entire race but a mere mortal has escaped me and I can't find her. You have so much power, could you help me? Oh, and... by the way, I invite you to a cup of tea with cookies (apart from his taste to forge weapons of mass destruction, my son is a great cook).
Sincerely, Deneb, Arundier of the Moon, Mother of Gods, Light of the Night, and etc, etc. "
Entry by Monica Galvan
Dearest colleague,
I have trouble imagining one mortal to be a that much of a problem... These mortals must be a severe hindrance, if you justify punishing all of... Tea sounds delightful.
-Alarina
Congratulations to the senders of the winning entries! You guys will receive an email from us this week, so that we can ship you a copy of the anniversary issue as soon as possible.
Honerable mentions: These entries were simply too wonderful not to share."To Morwenna... to the outcasted, the one that doesn't fit anywhere, but fears not of what others have to say, that enjoys life as long as she has her family alongside: You have been thrown in a war that was not yours. And The fault belongs to noone… and to all. Morwenna we are alike, more then you would know, but unfortunately my life has taken the more boring path, spent in front of the paper with the pencil in my hand, only dreaming of the adventure you have. It's hard. On your shoulders press the fate of two nations, two breeds. It is hard, and maybe I don't have enough knowledge or words to describe, to tell you what to do. But don't despair, don't fear. You will find a way! The hopes and hearts of the one you love are are with you and Wenna, you are the one who has the power to unite or destroy the Allar and Ilderi. With love from a sincere friend and a fierce reader."
Entry by Roiu Cristina
Thank you! I'll try my best to fix the mess that my life has become. I do enjoy adventure - but I think I could do with a little less of it right now (So if you want any of it...).
-Morwenna
"To the mighty Inez,
Have you ever popped off your horns, filled them with alcohol, and passed them around? Your drinking horns would be the life of every party. I wouldn't put them back on afterward; you might gore someone. -Kay M."
Entry by Kay Mildenhall
No, but she took your suggestion with great interest. I fear, one of these days she might appear with only one -or no horns - at all. If such a thing ever happens, you know the story.

I admit, you had me wondering there for a second ;). Sadly, at least half of our jury-members have received similar messages. We had a good laugh about it.
"Dearest Hayden,
I have gazed upon you from afar. You soar through the clouds as an Angel through Heaven. I have to smile when your golden locks catch the sunlight, while the wind begs them to be set free. I could fly to the moon and bring back the stardust, but it would not compare to the sparkle in your eyes. Although I have known you and your cousin since childhood, I have never found the courage to make my feelings known. Perhaps... one day."
Entry by Crystal Greene
This last one caused us many smiles. It also made the think of this - which is never a bad thing :D.
In response to the last two entries:
Hopefully you guys have enjoyed reading these as much as we did!
